SCA paid Armstrong $12 million throughout his career in bonuses, as he won seven Tour de France titles. These were stripped from the cyclist as it was revealed both him and his US Postal Service team-mates had used performance enhancing drugs.
The promotions company disputed bonuses in arbitration paid to the disgraced cyclist back in 2005, with that case providing the foundation of the doping evidence which was used against Armstrong.
Following on from his cheating exposure, SCA sued the former cyclist to get their money back.
Since outing himself as a drugs cheat, Lance Armstrong has continually failed to show remorse for his actions, even claiming he would dope again he if could go back and have the chance again.
