Leeds United have handed a new contract to exciting teenage midfielder Lewis Cook in an attempt to fend off the interest of numerous big Premier League clubs, report the Daily Star, although the 17 year-old could still leave Elland Road in the summer.

Cook has made 22 Championship appearances for Leeds this season under various managers at the Yorkshire club, with engimatic president Massimo Cellino handing him a new £4,000 per week deal to try and fend off Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
There is still a chance of one of the Premier League sides forcing a deal for Cook in the summer, however, with the England Under 19 international in high demand.
