Foxes hoping to bring Rickie Lambert to the East Midlands.
Premier League basement boys Leicester City have earmarked a surprise move for struggling Liverpool strike Rickie Lambert, report the Mail, as Foxes manager Nigel Pearson looks to bring in increased firepower to give his side a fighting chance of avoiding relegation straight back to the Championship.

Liverpool brought veteran centre forward Lambert to Anfield in a £4 million deal from Southampton this summer, but he has largely been on the periphery of manager Brendan Rodgers’ plans and has failed to make a significant impact on the team, leading struggling Leicester to believe that they can tempted him to the King Power Stadium.
The target man has spent most of his footballing career in the lower leagues with the likes of Macclesfield Town, Rochdale and Bristol Rovers before earning two straight promotions with Southampton – and settling into the Premier League with ease.
