The Daily Star claims that the Gunners were attempting to offer Leicester City £5m.
However, the young winger has decided to stay with the Foxes and will look to build on his promising 2014-15 season.
In his first season in the Premier League, Schlupp scored three goals and contributed two assists in 31 appearances as the Foxes earned themselves another year in the top-flight with a 14th-place finish.
Leicester are expected to officially announce the Ghana international’s new deal within the next 24 hours, according to Sky Sports.
Schlupp signed a three-year contract last year, but this deal will commit him to the King Power Stadium until the 2018-19 season.
