Messi speaks out after man-of-the-match display in defeat of Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi has broken his silence about his future after the Argentine’s majestic display in his side’s 3-1 La Liga victory over reigning La Liga champions Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp on Sunday evening, report the Guardian, with Messi branding talk of a move to Chelsea as ‘lies’.

Rumours had been rife that Messi was unsettled at the Nou Camp and unhappy with the methods of new manager Luis Enrique, who joined from Celta Vigo in the summer, but the Argentine has quashed such talk and hit out at the originators of such speculation – particularly anyone with Barcelona speculation.
Putting a difficult week for player and club behind him, Messi reiterated his commitment to Barcelona and seemed to end any talk of a move to Stamford Bridge:
“I have never demanded anything to stay because I don’t have any intention of going. I heard people say that my dad had spoken to Chelsea, to City … it’s all lies.”
