Awful. No passion, no pace, no vision. Joe Allen is the type of player Liverpool need to dump if they are to make serious progress this season.

A good performance from the youngster. Definitely has the talent to succeed at the top level.
RM: Nathaniel Clyne – 7/10
Strong and agile in both attack and defence. One of Liverpool’s best players tonight.
AMC: Adam Lallana – 7.5/10
Scored the goal and had a good first half, faded as the game wore on.
