The 19-year-old is set to have his current £30,000-a-week earnings more than trebled to £100,000-a-week, despite the fact he still has three years remaining on his current deal at Anfield.
Sterling will extend his stay on Merseyside to five years and in the process will snub Madrid – who have been keeping a close eye on negotiations between the England international and the Reds.
The teenager has been in superb form over the past 18 months and is now a key player for both club and country and is considered by many to be the best young player in world football.
