Reds have been tracking Liga marksman for some time now …
Liverpool have finally agreed the £7.7 million transfer of highly rated Celta de Vigo front man Iago Aspas, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.
The Spaniard has been on Merseyside this week undergoing both a medical and to discuss personal terms over his proposed move to Anfield this summer, although there were concerns at Anfield when the 25-year-old flew back to his homeland without having put pen to paper on his contract with the Reds.
However the striker’s brother, who is also the player’s agent as well, has allayed those fears by confirming that the transfer will definitely still be taking place, which will be a huge relief to Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers, especially in light of the current uncertainty surrounding the Reds future of key attacker Luis Suarez.
And now the Merseyside giants are clear to bring Aspas, who netted 12 goals in his 36 matches in all competitions for Celta in the previous season, to Anfield on July 1.
