Bayern’s board have said that the player can go in the next window if a suitable offer is made.
Liverpool have been alerted to the availability of Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri in January.
The player’s future has been in doubt for some time, but now his departure looks fixed for January.
“Bayern have already sent out a signal and indicated to him that he can probably go in the winter break, when he wants. I think it’s a shame because he is a great talent,” the Mirror quote Bayern’s club president Franz Beckenbauer as saying.

Shaqiri’s brief appearance against Manchester City last night is the kind of cameo he is becoming accustomed to. The Swiss international will hope that a move to Anfield can reignite a career that is being wasted on the bench.
There is no doubting the youngster’s talent – not anyone can score a hat-trick at the World Cup after all – and Brendan Rodgers will back himself to be the man to get the best out of the troubled wonderkid.
