Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all watched Millwall starlet Fred Onyedinma in recent weeks, who has shone in attacking midfield for the Lions’ U21 side.
Liverpool are amongst teams tracking Millwall wonderkid Fred Onyedinma, according to the Daily Star.
The 16 year-old attacking midfielder has earned a place in the Lions’ youth setup this season, having impressed in the academy, and has played well in the few games he has been selected in his short career so far.
He scored against Colchester United’s Under-21 side in their league fixture, and despite being up against players considerably older than him, Onyedinma has performed well.
Certainly he has demonstrated enough potential to warrant interest from scouts from some Premier League big hitters, and such is the competition to sign youngsters that career affecting decisions often have to be made by players years from graduating from their teens.
Onyedinma may well eventually make it to the highest level, but has a very long way to go.
He may soon have to decide whether to continue his development under Brendan Rodgers and his staff at Melwood or Arsene Wenger and team at London Colney, and his next move could drastically affect what kind of player he develops to become.
