Liverpool transfer rumors: Reds get green light to pursue Juventus star Carlos Tevez
Ogbonna has become a transfer target for Liverpool and West Ham, who are reportedly sending scouts to the game to observe him.
Although he is being pursued by the two Premier League clubs, Ogbonna has not been able to consistently hold down a spot in Juventus’ starting XI.
The 26-year-old made 18 starts for Juventus this season, and both Liverpool and West Ham are looking for improvement on defense.
Liverpool has every reason to be concerned about the state of their defense after their humiliating loss to Stoke City in the season finale.
The Reds allowed five goals in the first half of that game before losing, 6-1.
It will not be easy to lure Ogbonna away from Juventus though, as he still has three years remaining on his contract.
