Carlo Ancelotti sacked
Although Marca reported that the manager wanted to take a year off from football, the article stated that if Liverpool were to approach him, he would be willing to change his mind.
The 55-year-old was quoted in October talking about his admiration for the Liverpool fanbase and its song “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
The recent sacking of Ancelotti from Real Madrid was surprising, especially because of his ability to bring the team to the Champions League for the first time in 12 years and the club’s 75% win ratio.
Ancelotti, the former manager of Chelsea, PSG, AC Milan, and Juventus, is also being sought after by West Ham and AC Milan.
The desire to acquire such an experienced manager is high although English media reported last week that Brendan Rodgers’ job at Anfield is safe.
