Liverpool and Arsenal are on high alert with reports suggesting Russian ace Denis Cheryshev is ready to quit Real Madrid.
Cheryshev has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent weeks, with both the Reds and Gunners reportedly keen to sign the 24-year-old.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Cheryshev is set to hold talks with Real Madrid bosses over his future after struggling to make an impact with the first-team.
He is yet to make a La Liga appearance for the club and spent last season on loan with Villarreal, where he scored four goals in 26 appearances.
The Russian international is reportedly keen to make a push for a place in his side’s EURO 2016 squad should the Eastern European giants qualify for the tournament in France.
He needs first team minutes to catch the eye of Fabio Capello, and a move to the Premier League could see him on the plane to France next summer.
Should Cheryshev decide to leave Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal won’t have it all their way to sign the player, with La Liga heavyweights Villarreal reportedly keen to bring the speedster back to the club.
