Reds should finalise deal at some point this week.
Liverpool are on the verge of a major transfer coup after in-demand Shakhtar Donetsk midfield player Henrikh Mkhitaryan flew to England to complete his £23 million move to the Merseyside giants, according to reports the Daily Mirror.
The Armenia international has been the subject of a whole host of interest from some of the Continent’s biggest clubs of late, including the likes of Uefa Europa League winners Chelsea, big-spending Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and Serie A champions Juventus after what has been a sensational season in front of goal by the 24-year-old.
The attacking midfield player has featured in 102 contests for the Ukrainian champion in the past three seasons, scoring an impressive 40 goals in the process, 38 of which have come in the league, and now the player is due on Merseyside to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of putting pen to paper on his big-money contract with the Reds.
