The two players both left Southampton for Anfield in the summer, but it seems there may be feelings of bitterness towards them after claims from Rodgers after the match.
“I was disappointed for Adam. He was captain at Southampton, gave incredible service. There was nothing in the match programme referencing his time there, or for Lambert,” he said.
“Those guys gave their heart and soul to Southampton. For former servants or players, there’s always some appreciation. That’s sad.
“I was thinking of them looking at the programme. Everything they gave to this club, and not a mention.”
