The former Milan striker has been linked with a move back to Serie A this summer, particularly given that he has struggled to settle at Anfield.
Although the likes of Sampdoria and Fiorentina have distanced themselves from making a move, Rodgers suggested that the club would be willing to listen to offers provided that the striker wanted to move elsewhere.
“Mario is obviously not on tour but he is working hard and training well with a number of other players at Melwood [the training ground],” Rodgers said at a press conference in Malaysia.
“Does he have a future with us? I’m not sure. That will entirely be up to Mario. He is working hard to get fit and we will see when the season begins.”
Balotelli struggled to secure a permanent spot in Rodgers’ first team last season, and his chances will be further scuppered after the expected arrival of Christian Benteke.
