Dane has been on Merseyside since Jan 2006.
Mega-rich Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are lining up a big-money move for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger this summer, says the Guardian.
The experienced Denmark international has been at Anfield for the past six-and-a-half seasons, having joined the Merseyside giants from Danish outfit Bronby in Jan 2006 for just £6 million.
And in the intervening period the 28-year-old has proved himself to be one of the Premier League’s most consistent central defenders, having featured in 209 fixtures for the Reds, scoring 12 goals in the process, including seven strikes in his 155 top-flight appearances for the club.
However, Liverpool are hoping that the Dane rejects the overtures from the newly-promoted Ligue 1 giants, especially after Agger agreed to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract last October that ties the player to Anfield until June 30 2016.
Monaco have already signed the likes of Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho, James Rodríguez and Ricardo Carvalho this summer.
