Remy set to complete medical and sign a five-year deal with the Reds.
Liverpool are inching closer to clinching the signing of French international forward Loic Remy on a five-year contract from QPR, reports the Metro.
Remy is set to complete his medical and other small formalities this week before being announced officially as a Liverpool player.
The 27-year old was intent on moving to a top club in England this season after impressing on-loan at Newcastle United last term by netting 14 goals in 26 games for the Magpies.
North Londoners Arsenal were also interested in signing the former Marseille man, but they dropped their interest in the player recently.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers meanwhile, is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit to strengthen his forward line this season as he lost his marquee striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona earlier in the summer.
Liverpool have agreed an £8.5 million fee with QPR by activating a release clause in his contract, and it looks like the Frenchman will support England international Daniel Sturridge in a new look forward line for the Reds next season.
