Barcelona winger Adama Traore continues to be linked to a move to the Premier League, and he appears to be closing in on a move to Liverpool.
According to The Metro, Liverpool are willing to match Traore’s £4.2m release clause.
The Barcelona starlet is also reported to be the subject of interest from Stoke City and Aston Villa, but Liverpool are his preferred destination.
The La Liga giants have given the Spanish youth international permission to leave the club.
At 19 years old, Traore does not have a lot of senior football under his belt.
He only made four appearances for Barcelona in the last two seasons, but Liverpool are looking to continue injecting youth into their squad after losing Raheem Sterling.
Liverpool are looking to add depth to its midfield following the losses of Sterling and Steven Gerrard.
Traore faces a battle to break into the Reds’ starting XI following the additions of James Milner and Roberto Firmino.
