Liverpool sign defender around on three-year contract
Fabio Borini’s new wife looks INCREDIBLE, Liverpool WAG Erin dazzles in NO-MAKE-UP selfie
They began by re-signing Martin Skrtel to a three-year contract, and they are now on the verge of striking a deal worth £15m for defender Nathaniel Clyne.
Clyne has been heavily pursued throughout the offseason since spending his last three seasons with Southampton.
Southampton has already prepared for the loss of Clyne.
They essentially gave up on re-signing him as they signed defender Cedric Soares to a four-year deal.
Liverpool had initially made a £10m offer to Clyne, but it was rejected before they agreed to raise it even more.
The 24-year-old will be a perfect addition for a squad who is looking to put a traumatic 6-1 loss behind them.
Clyne made 35 starts for Southampton while scoring two goals, and the Saints ended up finishing in seventh place in the Premier League standings.
