Liverpool remain keen in a move for Paris Saint-Germain left-back Lucas Digne, according to reports.
Digne’s future is under question after the youngster struggled for first-team action last season, and the Reds are understood to be looking to lure the French international to Anfield.
According to The Mirror, however, Liverpool are only willing to pay up to £7m for the 22-year-old, who made just 14 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
The report suggests Digne is currently in talks with PSG bosses over his future and will demand to leave the club should he not receive guarantees over playing time next season.
Digne would put pressure on first-choice left-back Alberto Moreno over a starting spot in the side, however the emergence of 18-year-old Joe Gomez could force Brendan Rodgers to rethink his transfer strategy.
Gomez was impressive for the Reds during the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia, but it remains to be seen whether the youngster is ready for Premier League football.
