Liverpool are ready to find loan moves for highly-rated youngsters Tiago Ilori and Joao Teixeira.
The Portuguese pair featured for the club’s Under-21 side in the 3-3 draw with Everton on Wednesday.
But youth-team boss Michael Beale has admitted that the 22-year-olds are too good to be playing in the second string and will likely be leaving Anfield on loan “in the coming weeks”.
Beale is quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying: “Tiago and Joao have not played for the U21s in two seasons now, they’re very much seen as senior first team members of squad.
“Obviously Tiago has been away and had an experience outside of England and we’re hoping he’ll get another loan in the coming weeks alongside Joao.”
Ilori has yet to make a senior appearance for the Reds since joining for £7m from Sporting Lisbon in 2013. He has spent the last two seasons honing his defensive skills at Granada and Bordeaux.
Midfielder Teixeira made his Liverpool debut as a substitute against Fulham in February 2014. He was loaned out to Brighton & Hove Albion last term and managed six goals in 32 Championship games.
