The talented young Belgian was snapped up by the Reds during the summer before being loaned back to his old club to continue gaining experience this season.
However, Liverpool have since tried to speed up a deal to bring him to Anfield as Brendan Rodgers seeks improvements upfront, though this move has been rejected by Lille.
Still, Origi has made no secret of his desire to leave the club quickly, saying: “Maybe January, who knows? It’s not me who makes the decisions, but if the club choose to let me go in January, I would go. I would like to join Liverpool then.
“Although I agreed to stay with Lille until the end of this season, if there was that chance of joining Liverpool sooner, I would take it – I would love to move sooner rather than later.”
