The Reds are aiming for a fourth straight Premier League win at Swansea on Monday.
Kolo Toure is demanding Liverpool take the season “game-by-game” after their perfect start to the Premier League season.
The Reds are the only team in the top-flight club to maintain a 100 per cent record, winning each of their three games so far without conceding a goal and can return to the top of the table with victory over Swansea – the former club of manager Brendan Rodgers.
However, Toure is urging his team-mates to be cautious of going into Monday’s match at the Liberty Stadium with an overconfident attitude and called for them to maintain their focus in south Wales.
“A great start is very important, definitely – but it is better to take it game-by-game,” the 32-year-old told Liverpool’s official website.
“We’ve been playing every game like a cup final and we want to win games.
“When we go out, it doesn’t matter where we’re going to play or against who we’re going to play, we will give 100 per cent and try to win.”
Daniel Sturridge could make a controversial return for Liverpool after pulling out of the England squad with a thigh strain last week and will hope to continue his excellent record of scoring in every game this season.
