The Reds are concerned with his knee problems.
Liverpool have decided to end their interest in former FC Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes less than a day after Manchester United announced he would be training with them, reports CaughtOffside.

Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal has allowed Valdes to come and train with his squad as the 32-year-old continues to recover from a cruciate ligament injury he sustained back in March.
It is this knee issue that has deterred the Reds from signing the Spaniard, as after meeting with the stopper’s representatives and going over scans of the area the Merseyside club have decided not to take the gamble.
They had hoped that Valdes – who has been a free agent since leaving Barca over the summer – could be signed as competition for the increasingly unreliable Simon Mignolet.
However, manager Brendan Rodgers will now have to look elsewhere, whilst van Gaal has given no indications as yet as to whether he will make the Spain international’s move to Old Trafford permanent.
