The Reds are after Everton and Gala target Siqueira.
Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira has emerged as a transfer target for Liverpool, along with Everton, Real Madrid and Galatasaray, according to the Daily Star.
New Toffees boss Roberto Martinez had been eyeing up the defender as a potential replacement for Leighton Baines at Goodison Park, but that desire could be spoiled by their Merseyside rivals.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has pinpointed the left side of defence as one of the most important areas for recruitment and Siqueira’s increasingly growing reputation in Spain has caught many suitors’ eyes.
It’s said that the full-back has a £21m release clause in his contract – although none of the clubs are likely to raise their offer to that price – but it will take at least £8m for Granada to be convinced to sell.
Siqueira is contracted at the club until 2017, but has revealed that he was near to an exit to Valencia last year and would be open to a move once again this summer.
“I had a very good offer from Valencia last year and the club decided not to sell me,” the Brazilian said.
“I simply told the club’s president that if there is another offer this year, that he should let me make my dream of playing for a big European club come true.
“He said yes, that he would help me. And this is what’s going on. If the offers that are coming are good for the club and for me, I think it’s the right moment to sell me.”
Last season Siqueira was instrumental in the Granada first team, making 36 appearances for the club and even scoring six goals and providing three assists.
