Reds want Serbian star at Anfield.
Liverpool are among the clubs interested in Fiorentina star Adem Ljajic, according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo.
The 22-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal in Florence and the Serie A outfit may be forced to sell the talented winger rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.
Ljalic has emerged as one of Europe’s rising stars this season, after bagging 11 goals and eight assists for the Viola.
The Anfield outfit will face competition from Atletico Madrid and a host of other European clubs for the Serbia international but the Viola are desperate to hold on to the forward, particularly as teammate Stevan Jovetic looks likely to leave this summer.
The Serbian is reluctant to sign a new deal with the Italian club at present, meaning Fiorentina may be forced to cash in.
Ljalic almost joined Manchester United from Partizan Belgrade in 2009, only for the proposed move to collapse due to work permit issues.
The forward instead joined Fiorentina in 2010 and the club are likely to demand considerably more than the 6.8m euros they paid for Ljajic three years ago.
