Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre will this week begin negotiations with Real Madrid for the sale of Luis Suarez, with an interesting transfer swap mooted.
Liverpool will consider selling wantaway striker Luis Suarez to Real Madrid, but only if they can bring one of the Spanish giants’ most promising talents to Anfield in return.
The Daily Mirror claim that Liverpool will consider a Real Madrid bid for Suarez that includes Spanish wonderkid Alvaro Morata and a cash sum.
Morata is a fantastic talent who is the top scorer at the UEFA Under-21 European Championship currently taking place in Israel, scoring in each of his side’s country’s four games so far at the tournament, including grabbing the winners in matches against both Germany and Russia.
Morata has indeed hinted that he could leave Estadio Santiago Bernabeu if Real Madrid sign another senior striker, and with Suarez and his Uruguay international strike partner Edinson Cavani on the radar, that may come to fruition.
“If another striker is brought in, I will have to think about what’s best for me and consider leaving,” said Morata.
“If I go, I would prefer a move abroad.”
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre is set for talks with Real Madrid over the prospective deal in the week ahead.
