Liverpool are thought to be considering a swoop for former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes on a free transfer, according to Times journalist Tony Barrett.
The trusted transfer insider tweeted that the Reds were looking at the free agent as a possible signing to come in as a backup to Simon Mignolet, though they may not move for him until autumn as they assess his fitness.
The Spaniard saw a move to AS Monaco fall through earlier this summer and is still available, but has seen an injury hold up a move to any potentially interested clubs.
Liverpool have lined up a move for Victor Valdes but are prepared to wait until the autumn in order for the free agent to prove his fitness.
