Liverpool have been linked with a surprise move to sign Australian international goalkeeper Mathew Ryan from Belgian side Bruges, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 22-year-old started all three games for his country at the 2014 World Cup, and has impressed for his club as he becomes one of many goalkeeping targets for the Reds.
Brendan Rodgers is known to be keen to replace the off-form Simon Mignolet, and some big names have been mentioned as targets for the club this January.
However, Ryan could also be a contender to come in and challenge the Belgian shot-stopper for his place, despite being relatively inexperienced at the very top level.
