Mario Gotze has scored 10+ goals in each of his last three seasons. Would he have the same success at Anfield?
A recent incident between Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze and the the club has Liverpool fans excited about their chances of landing the World Cup hero.
According to the Metro, Gotze and the Bundesliga giants have had a falling out and the 23-year-old German star is no longer ruling out a move from the club – leaving the door open for Liverpool to make a possible transfer.
When asked about the transfer rumors surrounding him that have included Premier League overtures, Gotze replied: “I don’t need to comment on that.”
The two-time Fritz Walter Medal winner has been a star in each of his last two clubs, leading Borussia Dortmund to Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012, and later leading Bayern Munich to titles in each of his first two years with the club.
Gotze scored two goals representing Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but his most famous of the two was the nation’s lone score in the 1-0 victory over Argentina in the World Cup Final.
