Deadly forward is wanted by a whole host of European clubs.
Long-term Liverpool attacking target Jackson Martinez could move to Turkish champions Galatasaray instead at the end of the season, according to reports on talkSPORT.
The Reds have been keeping close tabs on the in-form Colombia international all season, particularly with the question marks over the future of key front man Luis Suarez this summer.
And the 26-year-old has really caught the eye with his breathtaking form in front of goal this campaign for the Portuguese giants, finding the back of the net 23 times already in only 25 league games, as well as laying on two more goals for Porto team-mates, while in all competitions for both club and country Martinez has a staggering 30 strikes in just 38 matches.
However, it is that eye-catching form that has brought the player to the attentions of many of the Continent’s biggest and most powerful clubs, including Premier League giants Manchester United and now big-spending Gala too.
Martinez is contracted to the Dragao until the summer of 2016 and if Liverpool are serious about bringing the player to Anfield this summer, then they are more than likely going to have to compete with the Turks for the £30 million plus-rated forward.
