Mignolet has struggled to find his form this season, and with the goals of Luis Suarez no longer winning games for Liverpool, the keeper’s errors have become more noticeable.
Brendan Rodgers has identified the Brazilian keeper as an ideal replacement, or at the very least someone to challenge the former Sunderland keeper. With Brad Jones as the current No.2, Mignolet is essentially guaranteed a starting spot.
Neto’s current club Fiorentina are reportedly looking to tie him down to a long term contract, but if he declines then Liverpool could pick him up cheaply in January.
