Napoli drop out of the running for PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Liverpool, as well as Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, have been handed a free path to battle it out for the January signing of Paris Saint Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, report the Express, after Serie A side Napoli dropped out of the race to secure the Argentina international.

Seemingly surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes as Laurent Blanc looks to shoehorn Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani into the same team, former Napoli favourite Lavezzi had been linked with a move back to the San Paolo, but that now appears to be dead in the water.
This will potentially leave either Tottenham or Liverpool free rein to move for the 29 year-old, who is likely to be one of the most established attacking talents available for a deal during the winter window.
