Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been dropped from the latest Brazil squad.
But there is room in the 23-man party for his new Anfield teammate Roberto Firmino.
Coutinho was with Brazil at this year’s Copa America, and showed that he is in form by scoring a stunning winner for Liverpool in their opening-weekend victory over Stoke City.
But manager Dunga has opted for experience by recalling veterans Kaka and Hulk for the September internationals against Costa Rica and the United States. Yet, former captain Thiago Silva is left out.
Chelsea flop Filipe Luis, who made a swift return to Atletico Madrid this summer is retained alongside three of his former Stamford Bridge colleagues – Willian, Oscar and Ramires.
Gabriel Paulista, who cannot usurp Laurent Koscielny or Per Mertesacker from the Arsenal back four, is included, while Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho completes the Premier League contingent.
