The Colombian international could be lining up a shock move to the Reds after United informed AS Monaco they would not be making an offer to sign him permanently after a highly disappointing season on loan at Old Trafford this term.
With only four goals for the club all season, Falcao has looked a shadow of the player that set La Liga alight with Atletico Madrid a few years back, though his history of fine goalscoring form in the game has seen him remain on Liverpool’s radar.
According to the Daily Express, Brendan Rodgers could still be interested in offering the 29-year-old another go in English football, with his side badly in need of quality upfront.
Liverpool have suffered since Luis Suarez’s exit from the club, with summer signings Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert failing to impress.
