Chelsea now FAVORITES to sign £32.5m Arsenal & Liverpool target after deal with Aston Villa falls through
The Reds’ season ended especially badly, as they were blown out by a score of 6-1 against Stoke City after allowing five goals in the first half.
Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour is now being linked to a move to Liverpool, and Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has reportedly started on negotiations for the 25-year-old defender.
He scored a goal for Monaco in the UEFA Champions League, but his team was knocked out of the quarterfinals by eventual runner-up Juventus after finishing third in the French Ligue 1 standings.
The Reds are already making progress in their pursuit of Ligue 1 players, as they are going hard after Player of the Year Alexandre Lacazette and have been cleared to sign him.
Liverpool will be facing competition for their next target though, as AC Milan and Barcelona are also among the clubs interested in pursuing the Tunisian defender.
Monaco is not trying too hard to keep their defender around, so it appears inevitable that Abdennour is on his way to a different European club.
