According to the Daily Star, the Hammers hope the sizeable offer is enough to see of the Reds’ interest in Jenkinson, who has spent this season on loan at Upton Park.
The 23-year-old has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Sam Allardyce’s side this term, and has impressed enough to catch the attention of Liverpool’s recruitment committee.
He still has three years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, but fell down the pecking order under manager Arsene Wenger, who could be tempted to cash in when the transfer window opens.
The Frenchman may be happier to see the right-back return to West Ham, rather than approve a switch to one of the club’s biggest rivals.
Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers, who still has an outside chance of guiding his team to Champions League qualification, is likely to require at least one right-sided defender this summer, with Glen Johnson’s contract due to expire in June.
