Alvaro Vadillo is a popular winger on a La Liga minnow, but could be exactly what the doctor ordered at Anfield.
Real Betis are expected to rely heavily on star winger Alvaro Vadillo in their first year in the La Liga first division, but Liverpool and a rival from London intend to make a serious run at him.
According to the Metro, Tottenham Hotspur have entered the bidding for Vadillo and are weighing up an offer for the Spanish star, who has a £17 million release clause in his contract.
The 20-year-old star has 80 senior appearances between Real Betis B and the Real Betis main squad, along with 19 caps for the Spanish international teams on the Under- squads.
The Spurs lost to Man United 1-0 this past weekend due in large part to their inability to keep up with the Red Devils passing attack on the edge. A speedy winger like Vadillo could be a critical piece of the club’s puzzle as the Spurs try to make a run at Champions League qualification.
The Reds are also believed to have significant interest in Vadillo, but have made no qualifying offers just yet.
