Liverpool are keen to make a move for wantaway Paris Saint-Germain attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports.
The Argentine international was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, but Fichajes reports the Merseyside club are keen to sign the former Napoli man.
Lavezzi on Monday admitted that this would likely be his last season with the Ligue 1 giants, and it appears that Brendan Rodgers is keen to lure the 30-year-old to Anfield.
While Lavezzi’s contract with PSG expires at the end of the season, Fichajes reports Liverpool could even make a move for the player in January as he will then be eligible to sign a pre-contract with another club.
Lavezzi has struggled to nail down a starting spot in Laurent Blanc’s side in the past two seasons, with the Parisian club’s attack littered with superb talent.
The former San Lorenzo man has scored 20 goals in 91 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG since joining the club in 2012.
