Liverpool are interested in signing 26 year-old FC Barcelona winger Pedro, but know that enticing him to Anfield may not be easy.
With Luis Enrique being named manager of Spanish giants FC Barcelona, wholesale changes are expected at the club, with a bevy of players touted to leave.
One of the stars being linked with a move is Pedro Rodriguez, with a number of teams keen on taking the 26 year-old off Barca’s hands.
The forward, who had been an integral part of the team under Pep Guardiola, has been in and out of the team this term thanks to the form of Alexis Sanchez in front of goal and signing of Neymar last summer.
The Catalan club are said to be willing to cash in on Pedro, and Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in signing the World Cup and European Championship winner according to the Daily Mirror.
The Reds have secured a return to the UEFA Champions League next season after a superb second place finish in the Premier League, but are well aware of the need to strengthen their squad to compete on all fronts, and a bargain move for a player of the calibre of Pedro will certainly be appealing.
However, Barcelona will naturally be keen to secure the highest transfer fee they can for the Spaniard.
Although Liverpool are keen to do their business early, Barca may elect to draw out the process in order to attract more bidders.
