Reds set to offer attacker opportunity of playing first-team football next campaign.
Liverpool are keen on making a surprise loan move for Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Brazil Under-17 international has been at Stamford Bridge for the past two seasons now, having originally signed for the west London club from Sao Paulo in the summer of 2011 for an initial fee of just £5 million, although that could rise to as much as £10m depending on appearances.
However, in the intervening two-year period the exciting 19-year-old has appeared in only three matches in all competitions for the club, registering two assists along the way, while in the previous campaign Piazon was loaned out to Liga outfit Malaga. where he contributed two assists in his 14 contests in total for the Spaniards.
And now it is understood that Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers is keen to persuade Piazon to spend next season out on loan again at Anfield, with the player himself said to be keen to get as much playing time as possible.
‘It’s hard to say how often I will play or if I will play at all. We have to wait and see if any Premier League clubs will be interested in me,” Piazon said.
