Liverpool are reportedly in a tight battle with Man City over the signing of £17m Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
According to the Daily Star, the 25-year-old is now ready to quit St James Park and could find himself at a Champions League-chasing side before too long.

Sissoko signed for the Magpies in a £1.5m deal from Toulouse but has gone on to catch the eye of numerous clubs around Europe with his performances in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are in a strong position given that he is currently tied down to a six-and-a-half-year deal which keeps him at the club until 2019, and so they can dictate the level of the transfer fee.
The French ace gave a mixed response when discussing his future recently, on one hand suggesting that he didn’t want to move a year before Euro 2016 and risk losing his place in the national squad.
In contrast, he conceded that he did want to play for a bigger club and so it remains to be seen what happens if an offer is submitted for his services this summer.
