Reds linked with a move for right back Nathaniel Clyne.
Liverpool are set to move in to what could be a messy January transfer battle for the signing of England international right back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton, report talkSPORT, after the former Crystal Palace star caught the eye with a fine start to the Premier League season with the Saints.

Clyne has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days after Louis van Gaal’s eye was caught by the speedy full back’s fine displays under Ronald Koeman at St. Mary’s.
The Saints are also set to open talks over a new contract with Clyne as they look to avoid the situation of the summer where their best players jumped ship – but Brendan Rodgers now looks to have something to say about that, with right back having emerged as something of a problem position for the Reds.
