Brendan Rodgers confident of adding Lallana and Lovren to his ranks.
Liverpool could have three Southampton players playing for them against them on the opening weekend of the season as they plot big money moves for the likes of Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren, reports the Daily Mirror.
The Reds have already signed 32-year old Rickie Lambert from the Saints, who, despite their stubborn stance towards Lallana and Lovren so far might be forced to sell.
Both Lallana and Lovren are keen to play in the Champions League, and having received offers from elite European clubs this summer, would most likely push their club to sell them.
Liverpool are front runners as they are believed to be willing to splash upwards of £25 million on 26-year old Lallana and around £16 million on Lovren to bring them to Anfield for their first season back amongst Europe’s elite since 2009.
Brendan Rodgers meanwhile, is also willing to offer Italian striker Fabio Borini to the Saints as part of the deal for Lallana.
