Rodgers is ready to tie up three more transfers for the Reds.
Following the club’s 1-0 Premier League victory over Manchester United, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirms the side are after three more new players.
Chelsea’s Victor Moses is expected to arrive on-loan, whilst defenders Mamadou Sakho of Paris Saint-Germain and Sporting Lisbon youngster Tiago Ilori are also targets.
This would seriously strengthen the Reds’ squad, despite the fact the side are the only top flight English team with a 100% record after three league games.
“We hope they can be completed,” Rodgers told Sky Sports.
“I don’t think there will be any confirmation until tomorrow [Monday].
“We need that depth and we need more numbers.
“The players that we want, if we can get them over the line, are all quality players and will really help us going forward.”
The Merseyside outfit have brought in five new players so far this summer, including £9m goalkeeper Simon Mignolet from Sunderland and Manchester City’s Kolo Toure.
Defence was the main area Rodgers wanted to improve due to the retirement of Jamie Carragher and doubts over the capabilities of Sebastien Coates.
Ilori broke into the Sporting first team in the 2011/12 season and has since played 14 matches for the Portuguese club in all competitions.
Despite being a Portugal under-20 international, the 20-year-old was actually born in London and has dual nationality.
Sakho is a France international that has found first team football hard to come by since the arrival of Thiago Silva, Alex and Marquinhos at PSG.
