Premier League giants do battle for Turkish superstars services…

Liverpool and Manchester united are both prepared to meet Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Turan’s release clause in January, reports the Express.
Turan would be allowed to negotiate with either club should they bid the required £33m fee, and his agent Ahmet Bulhat has revealed a move to England would interest his client:
“A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned,” said Bulut.
“He wants to work in England.”
So let’s take a look at what Turan could bring to either of the Premier League giants…
Position
Turan can operate from either wing, or behind a forward in the no.10 role. He is more comfortable from a wide position though, where he can directly attack his fullback. He rarely makes a defensive contribution, and prefers to sit wide and wait for the ball on the touchline, from where he can diagonally dribble at the defenders, capable of taking his man on the outside or cutting in.
Strengths
The 26-year-old Turkish international has excellent ball control and technical ability. Midfielders know they can supply him the ball in tricky situations and he can retain possession. His passing is also top draw, and his dribbling is similarly impressive. Turan doesn’t have many weaknesses, but he often gives away fouls when attempting tackles.
How would he fit in to either side?
Turan would offer Liverpool the width their squad severely lacks. Brendan Rodgers currently plays without wingers, and uses Coutinho in a no.10 role behind two centre-forwards. With Turan though, Suarez, Coutinho and the Turk could combine and swap positions behind Sturridge, who would spearhead the side.
Manchester United have plenty of wingers, but Turan is arguably of a higher quality than Young, Nani and (at the moment) Januzaj. With Valencia on the right, Rooney behind Van Persie, and Turan on the left, United will look a devastating attacking force.
