Reds have won the race for coveted midfield player.
Liverpool are set to sign up-and-coming young Bristol City star Herbie Kane, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
The Merseyside giants are understood to have beaten off competition from a whole host of other Premier League rivals in order to land the coveted wonderkid this summer.
Kane, who has been compared to Liverpool and England captain Steve Gerrard in terms of his playing style, is just 14 years of age, however, that has not stopped his club from promoting the midfield player into their Under-18’s team.
And Kane’s imminent departure from Ashton Gate will be the second such occasion in recent times that City have seen one of their brightest young prospects quit the club after his even younger team-mate Jacob Maddox also left the Robins to join Chelsea.
However, the League One outfit are expected to receive compensation for Kane, who has been tipped by some for a promising international future with England.
