Xherdan Shaqiri’s summer Liverpool move blocked by Bayern
Swiss newspaper Blick, as quoted by ITV, have revealed that Bayern Munich attacker Xherdan Shaqiri was keen on a move to Liverpool this summer, before the transfer was shut down by his club.
“I wanted a move in the summer, of course, but the club made their decision and I’ve just got to live with it.”
The Swiss international wanted to leave because of a lack of playing time in Germany, and his fears have been confirmed this season. he was played only 310 minutes in the Bundesliga and 46 in the Champions League.
Liverpool will hope that this lack of minutes will at least lower his value for any future move they decide to make.
