Teenage defender set for Anfield switch.
Liverpool are in talks to sign Lille’s teenage full-back Lucas Digne, according to the Sunday People.
The 19-year-old is one of the hottest properties in Ligue 1 and is valued at around £8m by the French club.
Kop boss Brendan Rodgers has identified Digne as a key defensive signing this summer, in a move that will cast doubt on the future of Jose Enrique, who was signed by Kenny Dalglish in summer 2011.
Digne – who has represented France at every level from under-16 to under-19 – has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Man City, while clubs in Holland and Italy are also said to be monitoring his progress.
The teenage left-back has a contract at Lille until 2016 but it is understood the Ligue 1 outfit know they might be forced to cash-in on the youngster for the right offer this summer.
Digne has made 36 appearances domestically and in the Champions League so far this season, scoring twice.
